The Challenge

Zooplus approached the yellowHEAD ASO team because they wanted better control over their different listing’s performance. The main challenge was to connect all the ASO dots into one dashboard where it would be possible track all progress and train the company to take care of their ASO in the future. Another challenge was to increase the organic KPIs and especially improve their creative assets.

Our Approach

The first focus of this project for yellowHEAD was to connect the different platforms into one dashboard so the company’s management would have a one-stop shop for all their KPI needs.

By establishing APIs and connectors, the yellowHEAD BI team managed to provide Zooplus management with the exact data they needed in a new dashboard with visual graphs and easy to operate so anyone from the company could understand the status in one glimpse of the eye.

The next task was to optimize all markets, from keyword research in the local language to the implementation of new metadata into every local listing. This would improve the number of visitors and page views.  To do this most effectively, yellowHEAD ASO consulted with Zooplus country managers to better understand their country’s listing performance.

Different concepts for each store’s creative assets were suggested, starting with the icon and screenshots, followed by graphics and video assets. After several creative tests with the help of yellowHEAD, Zooplus decided to change the primary icon they were using for years, as well as the screenshots of the store listings.

The last part was to train the local managers on how to operate the Google Play and iOS consoles. The training was done by an expert ASO yellowHEAD team member over a few sessions.
